Questions pilots ask
Is this the factory checkout?
Yes. We're a factory-certified CubCrafters training location.
Will it satisfy my insurance company?
Many insurers recommend a TacAero course, and nearly all accept a TacAero graduation certificate in place of a set number of hours. Send us your policy's requirements, and we'll make sure the course covers them.
Can I train in my own airplane?
Our fleet includes most CubCrafters models, so you'll usually train in one of ours. If your airplane has a unique configuration we can't match, give us a call and we'll talk it through.
I'm new to tailwheel. Where do I start?
Start with our Basic Tailwheel Endorsement Course, then take the CubCrafters transition course over the next 2.5 days.
How often should I take the Annual Refresher?
Once a year, or as often as your insurer requires. It's one day with 2 flights.
