THE ULTIMATE FALL FLYING ADVENTURE‍

Experience the rugged beauty of the American West on TacAero’s Idaho & Utah Backcountry Expedition. This 4-day journey takes pilots deep into some of the most spectacular and remote flying destinations in the country, combining technical backcountry operations with breathtaking landscapes.

The adventure begins in Idaho at the historic Jim Richmond 45 Ranch. From there, pilots will navigate challenging canyon terrain, high-altitude strips, and hidden backcountry airstrips, honing their skills in some of the most renowned STOL environments in the country. The expedition then continues south into Utah, where red rock mesas and desert landscapes replace the towering peaks, culminating in a final stop near Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.

With TacAero’s expert backcountry instructors leading the way, pilots will gain valuable experience in mountain flying, canyon approaches, and precision landings on remote airstrips. All logistics, accommodations, and meals are handled by TacAero, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the adventure. A dedicated TacAero mechanic will be stationed along the route to provide support for any minor maintenance needs.
