WACO TRANSITION COURSE


Flying in an open cockpit you will experience new sensations no other type of flying can provide. As a pilot, the student will learn to make the feel and sound of the wind their ally in flight, guiding them through each movement and giving notions along the way. The intent of this training course is for the student to gain the necessary aeronautical skills and experience to conduct normal, crosswind and emergency operations in the Waco UPF-7.

The student will start off in the legendary Piper J-3 and will advance to the WACO after demonstrating the ability to fly safely and effectively from the rear seat. With thousands of hours of combined tailwheel experience, our instructors are highly skilled professionals whose primary goal is to increase your knowledge and proficiency allowing you to safely fly the airplane with confidence.
