ADVANCED SURVIVAL

TacAero trains backcountry pilots in the employment of principles, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP), and equipment that enhance survival prospects regardless of climatic conditions. The ultimate objective of the course is to facilitate the survivor’s return from isolation.

Whether you’re flying into the backcountry in search of that perfect fly fishing spot, or you’re traversing the Rocky Mountains enroute to your next business meeting; as a pilot you’re inherently at a higher risk of becoming isolated from civilization than your earthbound companions. Our Aviator Survival Course teaches you the knowledge and skills necessary to survive in any environment that you may encounter. The emphasis of this course will be on meeting the survivor’s basic needs (personal protection, sustenance, medical, communication, and travel). Every backcountry pilot should fly with a survival kit so they are prepared for the unexpected.  Students will utilize TacAero’s custom survival kit during the course and are encouraged to build or purchase their own after their course experience.
